Best Bet: SADLER’S JOY (8)

FIRST: Miss Amalita was done in by hot fractions last time; better setup today. Distinctive Lady bested top selection by more than a length when second in last; very dangerous. Omagoddonna is 1-for-1 at Belmont but has been sidelined for 444 days; demand value.

SECOND: China Rider started from tough post when a late-running fifth in debut; improvement predicted. Dixie Kicks was a front-running second in same race as top selection; big-time player. Todd Pletcher entry: Sweet Loretta and Teresa Z are pricey newcomers that could be the goods; charting a must.

THIRD: Our Karma tallied swift pace and final figs when winning last and has trained strongly in the interim. Brolic is riding a three-race winning streak; very dangerous. Money Changer switches surface and owns fast dirt numbers; right in the thick of this.

FOURTH: Rahy’s Bandit is riding a forward line on late-pace and final figs; call based on price. Nonna Jo owns speed and makes peak start of form cycle; dangerous. Ice Couture needed last and drops; must consider. Pocketfullofgreen is fresh and owns competitive back numbers.

FIFTH: Flying K C was second to a much-the-best winner in last and should be set for breakthrough in third start since four-month layoff. I Love You Still is speedy and should be tighter in second start since 11-month layoff. Freckle de Freck runs late and should be aided by today’s longer trip.

SIXTH: Royal Temptress drops and gets favorable cutback in distance; call in wide-open turf dash. Simple Love is fleet-footed and fired half-mile bullet for first start since April; dangerous. Persnickety gets class relief and is a two-time winner on Belmont sod; worth long look.

SEVENTH: Ganador was a non-threatening fourth in last but pulls weight from main contenders today and owns faster back figures. New York Chrome was a visually and numerically impressive winner in last; very dangerous. Bluegrass Prevails delivers strong efforts with machine-like consistency. Pierce’s Prize holds razor-sharp current condition; don’t overlook.

EIGHTH: Sadler’s Joy tallied deceptively fast final fraction when fourth in debut; forward move predicted. Who’s Your Drama owns three seconds from four starts; prefers minor awards? War Bond earned solid numbers in both starts; price should be generous.

NINTH: In Spite of Mama is firing bullets for first start in 50 days and has history of firing big efforts off the bench. Apologynotaccepted has delivered swift efforts in both starts and is training with a purpose for first race since April; very dangerous. Wembley was a fast-figured second in last; right in the thick of this.

TENTH: Irish Actor makes second start since eight-month absence and gets call if able to escape AE list. Sauvignon owns fast numbers and is training consistently for first start since October. Wantagh Queen owns competitive numbers on best efforts; must respect. U Do That was speed sharpened in last; price will be tempting.
