SEVENTH: Fish Trappe Road fired 5-furlong bullet since breakthrough victory in last; pairs up. Imperial Hint is fleet-footed and could play out as the speed of the speed with aggressive ride. Justin Squared is 3-for-3 and hails from Bob Baffert barn; can you say underlay?

EIGHTH: Lady Lara is rested and logged lifetime-best number on Belmont sod last summer. Recepta makes peak start of form cycle after firing half-mile bullet last week. My Miss Sophia should benefit from slight cutback in distance.

NINTH: Anchor Down was a hand-ridden winner in Westchester last out; more in the tank. Noble Bird logged sizzling late-pace and final figs when winning Pimlico Special in last; regresses today? Calculator delivers strong efforts with machine-like consistency; right in the thick of contentious Met Mile.

TENTH: Ironicus overcame soft flow and wide trip to win Fort Marcy on Big A grass last out; Belmont turf lover, as well. Wake Forest tallied rapid late-pace number when winning Man o’ War last month; very dangerous. Big Blue Kitten was fifth in last but is more than good enough on “A” game. Take the Stand’s speed gives him a puncher’s chance; don’t dismiss.

ELEVENTH: Suddenbreakingnews endured rough journey when fifth in Derby and rates call in Belmont based on price potential. Exaggerator enjoyed perfect trip to win Preakness; bet against as the favorite today. Gettysburg could stick around a long time if allowed a soft lead in field that’s light on speed; very interesting. Cherry Wine could impact if pace meltdown ensues.

TWELFTH: Make a Decision was short in the lane last time but should be tighter in second start since seventh-month absence. Roman Approval gets class relief and has benefit of the rail on tight-turned, inner turf course; very playable. Inordinate has trained consistently since third at 90 cents on the dollar in stateside debut; dangerous.

THIRTEENTH: Dannie’s Deceiver tallied solid final fraction when second to a much-the-best winner in last; 6-furlong bullet drill on June 2 seals the deal. Amoral is speedy and riding a two-race winning streak; could easily get hat trick. Watershed owns swift back numbers and returns from freshener after trip to Dubai this winter; dangerous. Cerro is fleet-footed, owns fast figs and hails from Danny Gargan barn; big-time player.
