SECOND: John Eddie is fresh and projects as the main speed; crisp half-mile drill last week seals the deal. Nicholson regressed in last after fast-figured placing in previous start; rebound threat. Corpie the Cat could be in the catbird seat if top selection hits the wall in the lane.

THIRD: Vintage Matters gets favorable cutback in distance and should be primed for best in third start of form cycle. Heavenly Sun, another that makes peak outing of form cycle, was a strong second two starts back; very dangerous. Bushmill Giant was an improved fifth in last and has ample room for continued development. Noon Monsoon makes first start since gelded; very interesting.

FOURTH: Doinwhatshelikes was a determined winner in last and owns faster back figures; pairs up. Tejana has trained sharply since front-running score in debut; very playable. Literata has hit the board in eight of last 10 starts; right in the thick of this.

FIFTH: Pegasus Red notched improved internal numbers when an even sixth in last; class drop is the clincher. Jeter gets favorable turnback to 6 furlongs and could be ideally positioned in the stalker’s seat. Geaux Mets was an ultra-game second in last; logical, short-priced player. Gridley Here drops into selling ranks in first start since November; damaged goods?

SIXTH: Rexy displayed good speed in debut and should benefit from shorter trip. Tapany has trained solidly since late-running third in first start; could easily take this. Nimble Foot is 0-for-10 but owns fast figures on “A” game; right in the thick of this.

SEVENTH: Mr Harlan is riding a forward line on the numbers and will offer generous ticket. Jacapo could play out as the swiftest of the swift in turf debut; dangerous. Banana Thief is working with a purpose for first start in 234 days; worth long look.

EIGHTH: Highway Star notched swift final fraction when a hard-charging winner in debut; more to come. Riot Worthy owns six seconds in 11 starts; prefers lesser awards? Sweetneida was a clear-cut winner in last and should offer fat ticket; don’t ignore.

NINTH: Laquesta drops to lifetime low after middle move and fade last time; sitting on breakthrough today. Antebellum should pack heightened late kick with cutback to 7 furlongs; dangerous. Pound Sterling was third in key race last time; don’t dismiss. Princessofthieves has failed at short odds in five straight starts; for chalk lovers only.
