THIRD: Steve’s Image is 1-for-1 at Saratoga and is training swiftly for first start since May 29. Zoo Yorker makes first start since claimed by Danny Gargan; very dangerous. Patton Proud returns to dirt and could be in the garden spot if fractions get fast and furious.
FOURTH: Lady Joan tallied solid final fraction when a willing second in last; more to come. Summer Sweet finished four lengths behind “Joan” when favored in debut; must be considered if able to escape AE list. SEVENTH: Indycott is 1-for-1 on Saratoga grass and logged tight work tab for first start since claimed by David Jacobson. Watershed closes in sprints and could be aided by longer trip. Mills exits fast-figured placings in last two starts; right in the thick of this.
EIGHTH: Night Officer could be ideally positioned in the stalker’s seat in speed-laden field. Pool Winner is fleet-footed and riding a four-race winning streak; very playable. Spring to the Sky also springs from the gate and can hold razor-sharp current condition; don’t overlook.
NINTH: Porch Pounder projects as the speed of the speed in weak nightcap. Shoot From the Hip also is swift early and gets rider upgrade and favorable cutback in distance; big-time danger. Here and There runs late and would benefit if top pair hook on the lead. Wheres Willy should pack enhanced kick with turnback to 6 furlongs; must be factored into the mix.
