Best bet: ROYAL COPY (10)

Best value: DREAM DOCTOR (8)

FIRST: American Creed is riding a forward line on the numbers; price play in weak opener. Gambler’s Ghost has finished second in last two starts; continues trend? Storm Pursuit regressed in last after fast-figured win in prior; rebound threat.

SECOND: Bree’s Got Heart overcame nearly all of a 12-length, second-call deficit when a fast-closing second in debut; more to come. Kabuki adds blinkers and moves to dirt; improvement expected. Strawberry Tequila shows a work tab that culminated with 5-furlong bullet; could be the goods.

THIRD: Panama Papers tallied improved late-pace figure when second to a runaway winner in last. J.S. Choice was a tough-trip fifth in debut; dangerous. Menacing Dennis tired after setting the splits in debut; tighter today.

FOURTH: Woodville visually and numerically impressed when winning debut by 11 lengths; more to come. Sing for Beauty could prove a tough customer if able to secure an unchallenged lead. Roman Reign regressed in last after swift-numbered third two starts back; rebound threat.

FIFTH: Modern Lady moves to the turf in first start since claimed by Linda Rice; career-best predicted. Candida, an uncoupled barn mate of top selection, could be in the garden spot if pace meltdown ensues. Degrees of Freedom was an even third in last; right in the thick of this.

SIXTH: China Rider is rested and moves to the grass with pedigree that should be aided by surface switch. La Coronel also moves to turf and is from a dam that has thrown two grass winners; very interesting. New Money Honey debuts for Chad Brown; need more?

SEVENTH: Devilish Grin worked sharply but never delivered on heavy late betting last time; expect more in second start since 10-month layoff. Vandalize is training swiftly for first start since April; likely short price is the problem. Kiner’s Kor ner consistently earns the field’s fastest late-pace figures; odds will be generous.

EIGHTH: Dream Doctor notched rapid final fraction when a hard-charging second in last; more to give. Uncle Sigh has finished second in last four starts; continues trend? Powerful Instinct packs a powerful late kick on best efforts. Harbor King is fleet-footed and can prove very tough on a soft lead.

NINTH: War Dancer was pace and position compromised in last; set for best in wide-open Bernard Baruch Handicap. Dubai Sky is speedy and could play out as the controlling front-runner with aggressive handling; very playable. Ring Weekend endured tough trip when favored in Fourstardave; more than good enough on “A” game.

10TH: Royal Copy logged swift late-pace figure when breaking maiden over the track last time; win at the 7-furlong distance is the key. Runaway Lute has run away from both fields he has faced, winning by a combined 21 lengths; could certainly romp again. Practical Joke was a dominant winner when favored in debut; must be considered.

11TH: Sassy Little Lia tallied swift late-pace figure when besting a next-out winner in last; call in meet’s finale. Above the Mark made wide run into hot final fraction last out; very playable. Chase Motto owns sprinter’s speed and moves to turf for Chad Brown; potential controlling front-runner. Blenheim Palace is from a dam that has produced two grass winners; must be factored into the mix.
