SECOND: Kabang earned fast late-pace figure when second in last. Time Will Tell has finished second in last three starts; continues trend? Ballagh Rocks was just a neck behind top selection on Aug. 6; worth long look.
THIRD: Tiz Shea D is training impressively for first start in 13 months. Jimbo Fallon, another with swift works, has won last two starts. Cerro is speedy and razor-sharp; big-time player.
FOURTH: Summersault was an even fifth in last and logged two of three career wins on Spa sod. Mighty Souper consistently earns fast figures. Maura’s Pass tallied solid final fraction when winning last.
FIFTH: Imperia consistently logs the field’s fastest late-pace numbers. Manitoulin is 1-for-1 at the 11-furlong marathon distance; dangerous. East Bay Lodge also handles the trip and will offer fat ticket; worth long look.
SIXTH: I’m a Chatterbox logged fast-figured score in Delaware Handicap last time; rail draw seals the deal. Cavorting is 3-for-3 at Saratoga; could easily take this. Forever Unbridled is more than good enough on “A” game.
SEVENTH: Wavell Avenue was a convincing winner over the track last out; more to give. Paulassilverlining owns speed and swift numbers. Spelling Again is fresh and packs potent late kick on best efforts.
EIGHTH: Rated R Superstar is riding a two-race winning streak and could receive perfect setup in wide-open Kings Bishop. Drefong ships in from SoCal for Bob Baffert and could play out as the speed of the speed. Mohaymen should pack enhanced kick with cutback to 7 furlongs.
NINTH: Limousine Liberal notched career-best number on Spa soil last summer; call based on price. A.P. Indian owns fast numbers and has won three straight; very dangerous. The Truth or Else regressed in last after fast-figured win in previous start; rebound potential.
TENTH: Flintshire has impressed in all three U.S. starts; Sword Dancer that’s worthy of watching only. Roman Approval’s speed gives him a puncher’s chance. Grand Tito narrowed margin behind top selection to less than a length last time; very interesting.
ELEVENTH: Arrogate displayed a new dimension when overcoming slow start to win last time; ready for prime time. American Freedom has trained impressively since game second in Haskell; very playable. Exaggerator regained his late kick when winning Haskell; 1-for-1 at Saratoga.
TWELFTH: Sentiero Italia is 2-for-2 over Spa sod and owns edge in recency. Lady Eli puts her 6-for-6 record on the line in return from 13-month absence; paltry price is the problem. Miss Temple City was a tough-trip fourth in Diana; dangerous.
THIRTEENTH: I Win drops back in with NY-breds and should be favorably positioned near the front in big field. Coco Is Loco was compromised by rough trip in last; very playable. Papa Freud was victimized by slow fractions last out; worth long look at long price. Kerjillion has delivered solid efforts in all four starts; logical, short-priced player.
