Kevin Smith suffers knee injury

Lions running back Kevin Smith was carted off the field with a left knee injury after he caught a pass, tried to cut and his leg got stuck in the ground in a 48-3 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.

He will have an MRI Monday, but Lions coach Jim Schwartz said it was a significant injury. Maurice Morris will likely start at running back, but with the Lions having nothing to play for, rookie Aaron Brown could get more touches to see what he could do. Brown, who was drafted out of TCU in the sixth round this year, has 21 carries for 100 yards and six catches for 65 yards this season.
