After a one year absence, the Ducks are headed back to the playoffs. A 6-2 Somerset Patriots win over the Bridgeport Bluefish on Tuesday night clinched the Ducks' 10th playoff berth in the last 12 seasons.

The Ducks will face Somerset in the best-of-five Liberty Division Championship Series next week. Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 6:35 p.m. at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip. Game 2 is Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6:35 p.m.

Game 3 and, if necessary, Games 4 and 5 will be at Somerset.

The Ducks won the Atlantic League championship two seasons ago, but fell short of the playoffs last year. The franchise will be vying for its fourth Atlantic League title in its 16-year history.

The Ducks (34-30), who beat the York Revolution, 5-2, on Tuesday night, play five more regular-season games.
