I wrote this newspaper story about Bob Ojeda, SNY's second-year studio analyst, which features guest appearances by Ron Darling, Keith Hernandez and Chris Carlin.
I spent a couple of hours with Ojeda Wednesday as he prepared for that night's Mets game, and also watched the first four innings with him. He seems like an intelligent and engaging fellow.
Thursday night he was back at it, doing a nice job after the game breaking down what appeared to be wrong with John Maine's form before his early exit against the Nats.
Fans of the 1986 Mets don't have the same emotional connection to Ojeda as they do to many other key players of that era, but he was a vital component of that team, going 18-5 and winning Game 3 of the World Series.
Ojeda and studio partner Chris Carlin will be on site Friday night for the big game in Queens.
