It was nice to hear NBC's Jeremy Roenick articulate my own feelings about the German hockey team after the first period of Tuesday night's Canada-Germany snoozer:
"Driving me insane. I am bored to death," he said. "There is a reason why the German team continues to lose hockey games. Their defensive zone coverage is so passive."
Things get infinitely more serious for Team Canada tonight. Its showdown with Russia has to be the best quarterfinal matchup in Olympic history.
This might be a good night to score a reservation for a popular restaurant in Toronto . . . or to walk down Rue Sainte-Catherine in Montreal without fear of being run over.
