ESPN Films seemed to be showing off the other day when it sent releases announcing a partnership with Marvel on a documentary series and on a "Friday Night Movie Night" series featuring Spike Lee projects and, finally, this:

Eva Longoria, best known in the sports world as a former fixture at Spurs games, will executive produce a series of shorts called "Versus" that will launch this spring with a film directed by Longoria herself.

"Go, Sebastian, Go!" will focus on Sebastian de la Cruz, who sang the national anthem before Game 3 of the NBA Finals in 2013 and was targeted by racially oriented comments on social media.

For years Ms. Longoria, who rose to fame on "Desperate Housewives," was the world's most visible Spurs fan, owing to her marriage to Tony Parker. The couple divorced in 2011.
