Kevin Burkhardt, who was scheduled to host Fox’s pre- and postgame coverage at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game Tuesday night, will miss the telecast because of what the network described as a “personal medical issue.”

Chris Myers will fill in for Burkhardt, joining Pete Rose, Tom Verducci and Frank Thomas on Fox’s panel.

Burkhardt, 42, was a popular Mets sideline reporter at SNY for eight years before joining Fox fulltime after the 2014 baseball season. He has had a visible role at the network, including as an NFL play-by-play man.

“We’ll miss him tonight and look forward to having him back with the rest of the crew soon,” a Fox spokesman said.
