The NFL announced Monday that, no surprise, the Patriots and Jets will remain the Sunday night game on NBC Nov. 13, the first weekend in which flex scheduling is in effect.
In recent years there hasn’t been much flexing out of the original schedule, and the only sure target on the slate this fall is Colts-Patriots Dec. 4.
It is highly unlikely Eagles-Giants Nov. 20 or Giants-Cowboys Dec. 11 will move out of prime time.
Speaking of the Giants and NBC, the Peacocks’ studio analysts were blunt in their critiques Sunday for a team that actually won earlier in the day.
Rodney Harrison: “If you look at the Giants, yes, we know they can get to the quarterback, but they miss a lot of tackles, no gap responsibility, and lack of effort by some players.”
Harrison singled out Chris Canty, Rocky Bernard and Kenny Phillips for lacking in the effort department.
Wow! Can the Giants put that on their bulletin board this week even though Harrison doesn’t actually play for the Patriots anymore?
