Meredith Marakovits will replace Kim Jones as the Yankees' clubhouse reporter, the YES Network announced Tuesday.
Jones announced her decision to leave the network in January after seven years.
"I am excited about covering arguably the greatest franchise in sports, the New York Yankees, with its rich history and its continued commitment to excellence," Marakovits said in a statement. "I am very familiar with the Yankees, having covered them on both TV and radio. I am also eager to join the YES team and work alongside some of the best talent in the business."
Marakovits is no stranger to the New York market as she has appeared on SNY's "The Wheelhouse," "Daily News Live," and "GEICO Sportsnite." She also covered the Mets and Yankees for 1050 ESPN, and contributed to WFAN.
At Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Marakovits has been the Philadelphia 76ers sideline reporter. She was a member of 950 ESPN Radio/97.5 the Fanatic during the Phillies' consecutive World Series appearances.
The Pennsylvania native graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia in 2005 with a degree in communications.
Sweeny Murti also was a finalist.
