Of the top five markets for TV ratings through three days of the Olympics, four are winter sports havens and one is just south of Vancouver.
Here they are:
1. Milwaukee (23.9 percent of households)
2. Seattle (22.7)
3. Denver (22.6)
4. Minneapolis (22.0)
5. Salt Lake City (21.7)
New York is 40th of the 55 markets measured at 16.0.
New Orleans is last at 10.4.
The Super Bowl party apparently hasn't stopped yet.
NBC should have a strong ratings night Monday, with the men's downhill and the long program of the pairs figure skating on tap.
I am mired in my worst case of mid-February doldrums ever and could use some sports excitement.
Maybe Bode Miller will win a bronze medal or something tonight. You never know. Could happen.
