Before I head for the supermarket to buy Cheez Doodles and cream soda for my Pro Bowl party, I suppose I should weigh in on Tracy Morgan's lewd, rude comment about Sarah Palin on TNT's pregame show Thursday night.
Morgan is an extremely funny individual. He also is extremely unpredictable and extremely R-rated in his comedy act.
If it had been another, safer comedian, perhaps Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley bringing up the subject of Ms. Palin's appearance (relative to that of Mr. Morgan's "30 Rock" co-star, Tina Fey) would have been awkward but relatively harmless.
Doing so with Tracy Morgan, and handing him a live, national television microphone, was just plan silly, you betcha.
