Pop music superstar Rihanna expressed her unhappiness Tuesday with CBS for pulling her intro to last week's debut of "Thursday Night Football" on the network.

"CBS you pulled my song last week, now you wanna slide it back in this Thursday?" Rihanna tweeted early Tuesday morning. "NO, [expletive]. Y'all are sad for penalizing me for this."

CBS Sports said last week that they pulled the planned musical intro, which features a version of her 2009 hit "Run This Town" with Jay Z and Kanye West, because it didn't fit with the serious tone of its pregame show for the Steelers vs. Ravens. The first half of that show focused on Ravens running back Ray Rice being released by the team and suspended indefinitely by the NFL after the release by TMZ of a video that showed him striking Janay Palmer, his then-fiancee.

"Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open," CBS Sports said in a statement late Tuesday morning. "We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast."
