WFAN will be the new home of Rutgers football and its sister station, WCBS (880-AM), will be the home of Rutgers men’s basketball starting with the 2022-23 academic year, Audacy, both stations’ parent company, announced on Friday.

The news means the voice of former WFAN host Chris Carlin, who now hosts a national radio show for ESPN, will return to WFAN. He is the longtime radio play-by-play man for Rutgers football. WFAN’s Jerry Recco will continue as the Rutgers basketball play-by-play man.

WFAN will carry pregame and postgame shows for all Rutgers regular-season and postseason football games.
