SNY's Kevin Burkhardt: 'Things are starting to pull apart at the seams'

SNY promised from Day One objectively to cover news about the Mets - who own the majority of the network - even when it reflects badly on the organization.

So it has done, most notably in its handling of the firing of Willie Randolph during the 2008 season.

Wednesday night SNY proved itself again with thorough, real-time coverage from Kevin Burkhardt of Frankie Rodriguez's' arrest at Citi Field.

On the network's late news show, Burkhardt did not mince words, saying that while he thought K-Rod's problems were a separate issue from the rest of the locker room vibe,"Things are starting to pull apart at the seams" in Mets-land.

Studio analyst Bobby Ojeda sharply criticized Rodriguez after the game.
