Tuesday I attended a screening of "Moneyball," the much-anticipated movie adaptation of Michael Lewis' popular book of several years back.

I will write at length about the flick next week in advance of its Sept. 23 opening, but I will tell you this as a preview of my review:

Overall the film does a nice job pulling off what was everyone's biggest concern from Day One: How do you turn a bunch of guys sitting around talking about on-base percentage into a theatrical movie?

Still, there is an interesting marketing challenge here. Even with Brad Pitt in the starring role, will non-baseball fans show up?

We shall see.
