Anderson Silva has been uncharacteristically chatty in the build-up to his rematch with Chael Sonnen this Saturday at UFC 148 in Las Vegas.

It has sparked a bunch of "He's in his head" talk from MMA media folk. Well, here's one more for you: at the staredown after both fighters weighed in Friday at Mandalay Bay, Silva threw a shoulder into Sonnen's chin.

You're not supposed to touch the other fighter in the staredown, give or take a forehead-to-forehead thing. Perhaps Silva will be fined by the UFC or the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Perhaps when this shoulder bump news circulates, it will sell an extra 10-20 pay-per-views.

Silva, who weighed in at 184 pounds, threw a right shoulder into the left jaw of Sonnen (185 pounds). Sonnen, to his credit, did not react to the cheap shot. He kept his head down and barely blinked.

Cue the "he's in the head" talk, in both directions.
