Bobby Lashley returns for Strikeforce

Why Bobby Lashley wasn't included on the April or May Strikeforce cards, we're still not sure. Some tweets about an injury of sorts. Perhaps.

Here's one thing that's certain (for now): Lashley will fight on Strikeforce's mid-week card in Los Angeles on June 16. His opponent? In typical Strikeforce fashion, we won't find out for a while.

So, in the meantime, let's speculate, predict and suggest some opponents for the undefeated 33-year-old heavyweight who has impressed in his first five fights against assorted ham-and-eggers.

How about Daniel Cormier? Or maybe Lavar Johnson?

Middleweight Robbie Lawler and lightweight KJ Noons were also confirmed on the card at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre. The fight takes places on a Wednesday night, smack in the middle of the E3 Expo, a computer and video game trade show. EA Sports will show its EA Sports MMA game that week. Strikeforce is the premier league for the game and hopes to cross-promote its brand that week.
