First, the news: Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos were named the new coaches for Season 13 of "The Ultimate Fighter." But you already garnered as much from the headline. The cast of 14 welterweights will be announced in February.

Second, the reaction: Huh? Why? What happened to introducing UFC fans to some of the lighter fighters imported from the WEC merger?

Third, the analysis: Tough break for Dos Santos. The next fight for "Cigano" was supposed to be a heavyweight title shot against Cain Velasquez, but he's out with a shoulder injury. Now, Dos Santos has to get through Lesnar, the former champion, in order to fight for the title.

Guess he doesn't have the clout or stature of Rashad Evans, who has declined other fights until Mauricio "Shogun" Rua was healthy enough to fight again. We'll see that fight March 19 at UFC 128 in New Jersey. As for Lesnar-Velasquez, that fight is expected in June.
