Baldwin's Chris Weidman has risen to top 10 status in the UFC's middleweight division, per the words of UFC president Dana White.
He has a decision win over Demian Maia in January to thank for that. His 8-0 record (4-0 in the UFC) certainly doesn't hurt, either.
On Wednesday, Weidman headlines UFC on Fuel 4 in San Jose, Calif., as he faces Mark Munoz. Weidman was a four-time All-American wrestler in college (Nassau CC, Hofstra). Munoz was a two-time All-American at Oklahoma State and a national champion in 2001.
He is easily the best wrestler Weidman has faced so far. No matter, says the Serra-Longo fighter.
"I want every fighter in the middleweight division to know that I'm here," Weidman said.
