Chris Weidman ready to make a statement at UFC on Fuel

Chris Weidman was chosen as one of four

Chris Weidman was chosen as one of four finalists to represent Team Edge in their promotion with the UFC where fans can vote for the rising MMA fighter to be featured on a can of Edge Shaving Gel.

Baldwin's Chris Weidman has risen to top 10 status in the UFC's middleweight division, per the words of UFC president Dana White.

He has a decision win over Demian Maia in January to thank for that. His 8-0 record (4-0 in the UFC) certainly doesn't hurt, either.

On Wednesday, Weidman headlines UFC on Fuel 4 in San Jose, Calif., as he faces Mark Munoz. Weidman was a four-time All-American wrestler in college (Nassau CC, Hofstra). Munoz was a two-time All-American at Oklahoma State and a national champion in 2001.

He is easily the best wrestler Weidman has faced so far. No matter, says the Serra-Longo fighter.

"I want every fighter in the middleweight division to know that I'm here," Weidman said.
