If you want to get a taste of the hype surrounding Fedor Emelianenko, hang around Manhattan in the week leading up to the start of the Strikeforce World Grand Prix heavyweight tournament on Feb. 12.

Strikeforce is bringing out the big guys with some free events in NYC to help promote the fight at Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. Here's the rundown:

Tuesday, Feb. 8: Roseland Ballroom, 239 W. 52nd St., 4-6 p.m.

Fedor and the seven other contestants in the Grand Prix -- Alistair Overeem, Antonio Silva, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum, Brett Rogers, Josh Barnett and Sergei Kharitonov -- will be there for photos, autographs and a work-out session. Fans can win free tickets, too.

Friday, Feb. 11: Weigh-ins at Izod Center

Fighters hit the scales at 5 p.m. at the Izod Center, so be among the few thousand who get to see first if the fighters make weight for Saturday's bouts.
