Long Island has had its share of history on "The Ultimate Fighter," from Pete Sell to Phil Baroni to Costa Philippou to, of course, Matt Serra winning Season 4 of the UFC's reality show.
On Season 14, premiering Sept. 21 on Spike -- the network's last season of the show before it moves to FX as part of the UFC's new seven-year deal with Fox, Long Island gets another shot to show how "TUF" it is.
Dennis Bermudez, 24, is among the 16 featherweights on the new season, which has already been filmed. The show also includes 16 bantamweights and the coaches will be Michael Bisping and Jason "Mayhem" Miller.
Bermudez (7-2) won his first seven fights, most notably one against former UFC lightweight Shannon Gugerty in the first round of the Shine Fights grand prix last September. Originally from Saugerties, N.Y., Bermudez now trains at Long Island MMA in Lindenhurst, along with Ring of Combat welterweight champon Ryan LaFlare, and lives in Massapequa. He was an All-American freestyle wrestler at Akron.
A list of all 32 contestants can be seen below the embedded trailer for the show.
