For those of you MMA fans without power at home who are returning to work today, or who finally found an empty seat near an outlet at the local Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts or Panera, here's what you've missed this week:

- Jose Aldo will defend his featherweight title against Frankie Edgar during the UFC's Super Bowl Weekend card in February 2013 in Las Vegas.

- Season 17 of "The Ultimate Fighter" began filming this past week. Among Jon Jones' assistant coaches is Frank Mir. Among Chael Sonnen's assistant coaches is Dan Henderson.

- The World Series of Fighting premieres Saturday on NBC Sports Network.

- Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner has been added to the Ultimate Finale 16 in December.

- UFC president Dana White said this about Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones:  "I guarantee you that fight will absolutely happen." He offered no timetable, though.

- Oh by the way, on that same live chat hosted by UFC sponsor Metro PCS, Jones said he anticipated moving to heavyweight at some point in 2013.

- GSP for President of the United States?

- Stephan Bonnar retired from MMA again. Expect to see him on the various MMA talk shows and fight night coverages, plus in that banquette with Forrest Griffin in the coming months.
