Ronda Rousey picked a high-profile, high-stress environment to make her return to the public spotlight after getting knocked out and losing her title at UFC 193 last November: live network television.

Rousey will host the Jan. 23 episode of “Saturday Night Live” on NBC. It will be the first time hosting the iconic late-night sketch comedy show for the former Olympic medalist.

The musical guest scheduled for that night is Selena Gomez.

Rousey last fought on Nov. 14 when she lost her UFC women’s bantamweight title to Holly Holm. It was the first loss of her career.

It also was the first time Rousey looked like the inferior opponent inside the octagon. Rousey had finished her previous three opponents in a combined 64 seconds.
