No guarantees on anything here, but Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker told Fightin' Words on Friday afternoon that he's looking into having Antonio Silva replace Bobby Lashley on the June 16 Strikeforce card in Los Angeles.
Lashley pulled out of his bout with Ron Sparks earlier this week with a knee injury.
Silva turned in a solid performance at Strikeforce: Heavy Artilley, winning a unanimous decision over Andrei Arlovski. That fight was May 15, and to ask Silva to turn around 32 days later after a 15-minute slugfest might be too much. Strikeforce is still searching for someone to step in against Sparks should Silva not be able to go.
