Strikeforce: Telegraphing kicks can pay off

Sam Oropeza pulled a King Hippo from "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out" and telegraphed his strike. This time, it worked in the telegrapher's favor.

He stutter-stepped with a leg kick, which led to a takedown and a beatdown of Don Carlo-Clauss at Strikeforce in East Rutherford, N.J. on Saturday night.

Oropeza, from Briarcliff, Pa., unleashed headstrikes for more than a minute and Carlo-Clauss covered up. Once Oropeza got his back and mounted Carlo-Clauss, it was just a matter of time. Carlo-Clauss verbally tapped to strikes with 50 seconds left in the first round.
