Tony Ferguson and Yves Edwards.
Two names known by most mixed martial arts fans. Two names that won't necessarily make you stop what you're doing and tune in live to see fight.
But here's the thing: if you missed this lightweight fight at Saturday's Ultimate Finale, you missed a terrific example of a good MMA fight.
The first round featured inside leg kicks, solid headkicks, good striking, a staggered fighter (Edwards) working his way through recovery and, of course, a rolling oma plata (by Ferguson).
Round 2 was slightly tamer, if you can call clean headshots, good crisp striking and a bloodied nose "tame."
Round 3 lacked some of the action we saw in the first round, but the striking remained controlled and disciplined.
After 15 minutes, the judges scored it for Ferguson (14-2), the Season 13 Ultimate Fighter winner pictured above. The scores were 30-27, 30-27, 28-28, for Ferguson.
