Undefeated light heavyweight Ryan Bader got a chance to raise his profile at UFC 110 by fighting veteran tough guy Keith Jardine.

In the first round, Bader showed he was ready, landing good strikes and a big takedown.

In the second round, Jardine showed him why the light heavyweight division is the toughest in the UFC. Jardine mixed in his kicks and punches and showed an excellent defense against Bader’s repeated takedown attempts.

In the third round, Bader sent word to both the established 205-pounders and the young up and comers that he’s for real. Bader rocked Jardine with a right hand, then followed it up with a flying right knee. Bader (12-0) ended it with a left hook that knocked out Jardine 2:10 into the third round.
