NEWARK - One punch led to a flurry, which led to another flurry, which led to another flurry. Add it all up and you get a devastating first-round TKO of Eliot Marshall by Luiz Cane in their light heavyweight bout at UFC 128 at the Prudential Center.
Cane (12-3-1) began the onslaught with a big left hook that dropped Marshall (11-4). Cane pounced on the downed opponent and unleashed a furious set of punches. Marshall was mobile on the ground in trying to escape the onslaught, but Cane had good positioning the entire way and never lost control.
He continued to fire away until referee Dan Miragliotta stepped in and stopped the fight.
