NEWARK -- Last Sunday, Bryan Caraway had nothing significant planned for this Saturday. By Monday afternoon, that changed and changed significantly.
Caraway replaced the injured Erik Perek and had just six days to get ready for fellow bantamweight Johnny Bedford at UFC 159 at the Prudential Center.
That didn't seem to matter much for Caraway as he earned a submission victory over Bedford with 16 seconds left in the third round.
Caraway (18-7) didn't appear to show much issue in terms of conditioning as well into the third round he continued to push the pace and stay active. Once on the ground in the final tow minutes, Caraway worked for positioning, eventually took the back of Bedford (19-11-1) and squeezed on the guillotine choke.
