Watch the Chris Weidman UFC 168 documentary

From the gym to the sauna, from the hotel room to the Octagon, Newsday chronicled Baldwin's Chris Weidman in Las Vegas as he prepared to defend his title against Anderson Silva at UFC 168 on Dec. 28, 2013.

For three days in Las Vegas, Newsday's Mario Gonzalez and Mark La Monica followed UFC middleweight champion Baldwin's Chris Weidman around Las Vegas as he prepared to defend his title against Anderson Silva.

In the documentary above, watch as Weidman works to cut 12 pounds in the final days, then successfully defends the title by stopping Silva in the second round at UFC 168 with a bone-breaking block of a leg kick.

Interviews include Weidman, head trainer Ray Longo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Matt Serra, training partner and UFC light heavyweight fighter Gian Villante, strength and conditioning coach Jamal Hamid, UFC president Dana White and father Charlie Weidman.
