WEC 48: Team Alpha Male gets first win of the night

This one was pretty simple and pretty technical, just the way they teach it at Team Alpha Male.

Chad Mendes shot in on Anthony Morrison, but missed. He shot in again, got the takedown and within a few seconds, locked in a guillotine choke. Good night, Morrison.

Mendes (7-0) ended the submission victory 2:13 into the first round of the featherweight bout at WEC 48 in Sacramento.

"I was practicing that choke the last two weeks," said Sacramento-based Mendes, now 2-0 in the WEC.

Morrison (15-8) has lost both of his fights in the WEC, the first to former featherweight champion Mike Brown in January.

Will Team Alpha Male keep the winning going tonight when Urijah Faber fights Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in the main event?
