Naturally, Bob Costas will be NBC’s prime-time Olympic host in Rio de Janeiro because the Greek gods deemed it must be so millennia ago.

But what about the rest of the Peacocks’ hosting crew?

Plenty of experience there, too, with Al Michaels again handling daytime duties, and Dan Patrick, Rebecca Lowe, Carolyn Manno and Liam McHugh appearing as well on NBC and/or NBCSN.

Ryan Seacrest will host late nights, where the recent announcement of two of his reporting correspondents created a bit of an Internet stir.

They are Brazilian supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima. (Fellow Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen, wife of quarterback Tom Brady, presumably will be otherwise occupied watching Patriots preseason games this month.)

The hosts for Friday night’s Opening Ceremony will be Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira and Hoda Kotb.

Backing the hosts will be 170 commentators who have won a total of 59 Olympic medals, 25 of them gold.
