WWE Over the Limit predictions

I'm cutting it close to the pay per view, but better late than never. My picks are in bold. Enjoy the pay per view tonight!

R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase

Ted DiBiase has all the momentum going for him. I’m not a huge fan of R-Truth although he has in ring skills, but just lacks that “it factor.” DiBiase is becoming one of the best all around stars in the company. I see him going over clean, maybe some help by Virgil, but nothing extreme.

Divas Champion Eve vs. Maryse

I really don’t follow the women’s division all that much. There are just so many of them and none of the women in the WWE stick out like Chyna, Trish, Lita, Sable, Torrie Wilson, etc. These women come and go like the wind. I say Eve picks up the win.

Unified Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty vs. Chris Jericho & The Miz

I really like this match and much like DiBiase, The Hart Dynasty has a lot of momentum going their way. I see them picking up the win. Maybe a little help from Bret Hart, the new U.S. champion. The Miz wants the U.S. title more than the tag team titles and that's where this is heading.

Randy Orton vs. Edge

If given enough time this match could steal the show. This has been the best feud in the WWE over the last few months. Only Undertaker/HBK are ahead of it. This is the one match I’m having a tough time on deciding. As you can see, I usually go with momentum and I think the WWE is setting up Edge for a title shot around Summerslam. Therefore I go with Edge. I hate picking against Orton because I would love to see him win, but I think Edge has the bigger push coming down the line.

A loss wouldn’t hurt Orton as much in my opinion. Orton seems more resilient and can bounce back easier from a defeat. Not so much for Edge.

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk (S.E.S. Pledge vs. Hair Match)

I hate everything about Rey Mysterio. Why? That’s a blog post on its own really soon. Hair never stands up well in the WWE. Fans love when wrestlers lose their hair, remember Vince McMahon a few years ago at Wrestlemania. I also remember Y2J vs. Kevin Nash a while back and Nash lost the match and his hair. I’m siding with history, Rey wins.

Intercontinental Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Kofi Kingston

Finally a feud that has made the Intercontinental title relevant again. McIntyre is quickly become a top heel on Smackdown and the best way to continue that is have him beat a fast rising face like Kingston. I don’t see him going over Kingston clean.

World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger vs. Big Show

I don’t see Swagger losing this match, but I don’t see him winning without some kind of help or cheating a bit. Not excited for this feud or the match. I did a long blog post a while back saying how I was giving Swagger’s title reign time before I can judge it. So far it’s been boring and uneventful. Swagger wins and I hope goes on to do something bigger and better very soon.

Oh where are you Undertaker? Swagger is on a collision course with Taker and that should add some fuel to the fire and help legitimize Swagger.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Batista ("I Quit" Match)

If you bet against Cena you’re a moron, plain and simple. It’s John Cena in a main event. There is no way he is losing and the WWE is sending home fans with a bad taste in their mouth. There was a rumor a few weeks ago that Batista is on his way out of the company. There is no way Cena, the darling of the WWE, will say “I quit.”
