Rangers, the three-time defending Scottish Premier League champions, just got a lot more American.
USMNT captain Carlos Bocanegra and winger Alejandro Bedoya will transfer to the Scottish club, joining American Maurice Edu in Glasgow.
Bocanegra played three years in France for Stade Rennes and St. Etienne. Bedoya has played for the Swedish club, Orebro, since 2009. It's not clear when the duo will suit up for the first time. Rangers play a Europa League match Thursday against Maribor of Slovenia and visit Motherwell in an SPL league match Sunday.
Rangers are three games into their 2011-12 campaign with a record of 2-0-1. Edu, who has played for the club since 2008, scored in the team's last match -- and was sent off as well.
