Rookie goalie David Bingham made quite the impression in his debut performance between the pipes for the San Jose Earthquakes.
The 21-year-old blasted a ball from the edge of his box into the opposing goal in a 2-1 victory over the EPL's West Brom in a scrimmage Tuesday at Buck Shaw Stadium.
Now, Bingham isn't the first MLS keeper to bomb one in from deep. New York's Danny Cepero scored on a similar play against Columbus in 2008. In 2009, Houston's Tally Hall scored a controversial goal in CONCACAF Champions League play against Metapan from about 80 yards away -- with a big assist from a teammate who crashed into the keeper.
