Jozy Altidore, all 21 years of him, was starting to develop a nasty reputation of the great American striker who just couldn't score any goals. Since he made his professional debut at the ripe age of 16, obviously he's put a fair share of balls in the back of the net, but not enough, according to many fans.

Since bidding adieu to the MLS, he's been shipped all over Europe -- from Spain to England to Turkey, and now, Holland.

I think he likes it there.

The brawny striker has been on an absolute tear since joining AZ Alkmaar this summer. In 11 games, he's struck for seven goals. Three of those goals have come in league play, while four have come in the Europa League. Alkmaar sits at the top of the table in each.

Altidore scored in his Eredivisie debut Aug. 7, 15 minutes after entering the game. Later in the month, he tallied four goals in a two-game span, which coincided with the start of Alkmaar's 8-game unbeaten run.
