The U.S. women’s national soccer team was named “Women of the Year” Thursday night at espnW’s IMPACT25 Gala in Manhattan.

The event honored individuals who made marks on women in sports in the previous calendar year.

The U.S. won the Women’s World Cup in Canada last summer, and is among the favorites in the Olympic soccer tournament in Brazil later this year.

Hope Solo, Shannon Boxx and Christie Rampone accepted the award on behalf of the team.
