NFLTitans suing Kiffin, USC for hiring assistant Pola

The Titans are suing USC and coach Lane Kiffin for "maliciously" luring away assistant coach Kennedy Pola a week before training camp opens. Tennessee Football Inc., which owns the Titans, filed the lawsuit Monday in Davidson County (Tenn.) Chancery Court. It accuses USC and Kiffin of violating Pola's contract that required him to have written permission to discuss a job with anyone but the Titans.

The Titans signed Pola on Feb. 1. Kiffin hired him Saturday as his offensive coordinator and running backs coach.

Bengals: Interest in T.O.Bengals owner Mike Brown said the team has discussed a contract with free- agent receiver Terrell Owens and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus. Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer has been working out with Owens in California, and he recommended Owens to coach Marvin Lewis.
