The highly anticipated debut of Nationals phenom Stephen Strasburg will happen next week. The Nationals announced that the righthander will start on Tuesday June 8th against the Pirates. Strasburg, 21, will make one final start for Triple-A Syracuse at Buffalo on Thursday.
General manager Mike Rizzo said Strasburg will throw six innings or 95 pitches. Strasburg, the No. 1 pick in last year's draft, has dominated in the minor leagues. He is 6-2 in 10 starts with a 1.43 ERA and a 60/12 K/BB ratio in 50 1/3 innings between Double-A and Triple-A. He is 3-1 with a 1.27 ERA in five starts at Triple-A.
I'm sure he is owned in most leagues, but if he is somehow available in your league, pick him up.
