Fifty-seven minutes is all it took for Kim Clijsters for beat Sally Peers in straight sets.

The number three ranked player in the world didn't waste any time in beating the 19-year old Austrailian Peers.

Clijsters is the defending U.S. Open Women's Champion and certainly made a strong statement in defending her title.
