That is not a marijuana leaf on Donald Young's tennis shirt and shorts, though the logo -- of a Japanese maple leaf -- has been confused with a pot plant since it was introduced in 1973 by the Boast sportswear brand.

Though the availability of Boast products, popular in the 1970s and '80s with the preppy crowd and recreational tennis players, waned because of distribution problems in the early '90s, rights to the logo were purchased in 2010 by two devotees of the brand who are reviving its sportswear.
