Can you imagine golf with Tiger Woods? Baseball without Derek Jeter? Football without Tom Brady?

That's what almost happened in the sport of tennis in 2005 when Rafael Nadal contemplated a move into professional golf after a career-threatening foot injury sidelined him.

The 10-time major champion revealed his almost life-changing ordeal in his autobiography “Rafa," which hits stores in the United States on Aug. 23.
