U.S. Open honors its past

The grounds of the U.S. Open have done a magnificent job paying homage to its past champions.

All the light poles have large banners of former tennis greats who have been victorious at the Open. Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, and Martina Navratilova to name a few.

Each pole featured a span of a few years. The 1981-82 pole had large pictures of John McEnroe and Chris Evert with "Did you know facts" that read, "John McEnroe, in 1981, became the first man in 56 years to win 3 consecutive U.S. Open titles. Chris Evert won her sixth and final us open title in 82
