Venus Williams is one match away from another Wimbledon final, as is her sister Serena Williams.

The five-time champion advanced to the semifinals at the All England Club by beating Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan 7-6 (5), 6-2 on No. 1 Court.

The 36-year-old Venus Williams won her first Wimbledon title in 2000, and then added others in 2001, ‘05, ‘07 and ‘08.

She then reached the final in 2009, and the quarterfinals in 2010, but has struggled to go deep into the second week in recent years.

Williams will next face Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber.

Six-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams is back in the semifinals at the All England Club.

The top-seeded American beat Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia 6-4, 6-4 on Centre Court to reach the semifinals for the 10th time.

Williams will next face either Dominika Cibulkova or Elena Vesnina.
