WASHINGTON, D.C. - Stamford Mayor David Martin testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation Thursday about the need for railroad funding.

Martin says given the thousands of people who depend on Metro-North, more federal support is needed for rail infrastructure.

The mayor says issues on the tracks affect train reliability, and therefore the local economy because so many people commute to Stamford for work.
